Job Description: Every member of an aircrew must be able to survive on their own in any environment under any condition should their aircraft go down. As members of Air Force Special Operations, Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) specialists teach Airmen everything they need to know to do just that. From building shelters and procuring water to land navigation and evasion techniques, these highly trained experts impart the skills needed for Airmen to survive on their own and evade the enemy until they can be rescued and brought home.
