As a CH-53E Crewchief, you will be directly in support of the Infantry and joint military operations around the globe. Skilled both technically and tactically on the employment of the helicopter and its weapon systems, you will learn to operate in any weather environment, both day and night. You will undergo extensive training from the very beginning of your career. From Aircrew Candidate School where you will learn survival swimming and water rescue training, to the pinnacle of Marine Aviation training that is centered at Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One. You will become the subject matter expert in Heavy Lift operations, aerial gunnery, night systems employment, sea and land based tactics, and many more. The days are long and the work is challenging, but most importantly, it’s the best job the Marine Corps has to offer.
